Pricing in proportion – what it means for you

With effect from 21st August 2006, Royal Mail will charge postage depending on size, rather than weight. It costs Royal Mail more to process these bulky items, so they want to pass these costs on using this new pricing structure which is called Pricing in Proportion, or PIP.
