Account Director

We’re looking to expand our client services team with a proven Account Director to drive and develop the agency’s relationship with allocated clients. You’ll have at least 5 years’ experience of account ownership within an agency, or IT marketing client-side. And you’ll be expected to assume a high degree of responsibility in quality and client satisfaction. Confidence and strong leadership skills are essential – as are attention to detail and the ability to deliver under pressure.

Technical Support and Software Quality Representative

Permanent, full-time, based at our Beaconsfield office.

 

About the role

Our software development services are increasingly in demand so we're looking for a QA tester to join Second2's Digital Services Team. The primary role of the successful candidate will be to assist in the testing of our new software releases before they go to our clients for testing.

 

We're looking for someone who has a great eye for detail and can spot a bug from a mile off. The successful candidate will need to be an amiable and level-headed individual to handle technical support queries. This will involve working with the users and the developers to gather all of the necessary information and be the main point of contact for both parties.

 

Essential

  • Two Bs at A-level or equivalent Baccalaureate/HND qualifications
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent computer skills
  • At least one year of customer service experience in any industry
  • An eye for detail

Desirable

  • University graduate
  • Some technical knowledge
  • Experience of working in a corporate environment
  • Experience with helpdesk or issue tracking software
  • Experience of the software development lifecycle
  • Fluency in major European languages

About the role

We're looking to add a full-time junior member to the development team to work on new and on-going web development projects for our clients. The suitable candidate needs to be dedicated, self-motivated and a highly-skilled programmer.

 

Since the role is customer-facing, the successful candidate will be outgoing and have excellent written and spoken communication skills including fluent English.

 

Our chosen technologies for web development are PHP Symfony for rapid development, TYPO3 for WCMS and jQuery for user interaction.

 

Essential

  • Object orientated PHP
  • HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with the ins and outs of Javascript
  • Experience with Linux/Unix shells
  • Experience of version control systems
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and documentation techniques
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in social media and technological trends
  • A dislike of cutting corners

Desirable

  • Experience of web services API integration
  • Use of the Symfony, CakePHP, Zend or Smarty PHP frameworks
  • Use of jQuery, Mootools, Scriptalicious or Prototype
  • Knowledge in the field of UX
  • Agile and testing-lead development
  • Familiarity with search engine optimisation techniques
  • Experience with SVN/CVS/Git
  • Flash AS3/Flex/AIR experience

Digital Project Coordinator

Permanent, full-time, based at our Beaconsfield office.

 

The role of Digital Project Coordinator

We’re looking to add a full-time member to the digital services team to assist in the smooth running and planning of new and on-going web development projects for our clients.

 

The role will involve assisting the digital project managers in the planning of projects and communicating the plans to internal and external clients. The coordinator will also be responsible for planning the testing phase of projects. The successful candidate will report to the digital project managers.

 

A suitable candidate needs to be a proactive, dedicated, self-motivated and a highly-skilled communicator. Since the role is client-facing the successful candidate will be outgoing, able to stand their ground under pressure and have excellent written and spoken communication skills.

 

The role is based in the Beaconsfield office but may also involve infrequent travel to meet with clients.

 

Essential

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • At least one year of relevant project management experience
  • At least one year of relevant client relationship management experience
  • Experience working on technical IT or digital marketing projects
  • Good understanding of the internet and its technologies

Desirable

  • Good technical knowledge or experience. Have you ever tried to program something?
  • A knowledge of channel marketing
  • An eye for good web design and good user interfaces
  • An understanding of software testing: UAT, functional testing and unit testing
  • Experience using agile software development methodologies
  • Although the role will not require PMI qualifications, some experience using a project management methodology such as PRINCE2 would be beneficial
